began as an idea from the Zeta Phi Sigma Alumnae chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. to procure funding to their local programming. Five members of the chapter got to work and manifested this idea into a reality.

Since its founding in September of 2018 the Golden 22 Foundation has sponsored and provided aid to local programs like the Youth Symposium, Project Wee Savers, and Swim 1922.
